GUIDE TO ASSIGN 2 % FOR INDIVIDUALS

  1. You can assign:

    1. Up to 2 % of your declared income tax to a recipient if you did not participate in volunteering activities in 2024 or if you participated for less than 40 hours. This amount has to be at least €3.

    2. Up to 3 % of your declared income tax if you participated in volunteering activities for at least 40 hours in 2024 and have proof from the corresponding organisation(s).

  2. There are preselected columns for assigning 2% (3%) to one recipient in the income tax declaration form for private individuals.

  1. If you want to notify us that you have assigned your 2% or 3% to us, mark the corresponding consent box to show that you agree to share your information (name and address, but NOT the sum of money assigned).

  2. Either:

    1. Send the completed income tax declaration digitally and pay the income tax by the deadline; or

    2. Send the completed paper income tax declaration to the Tax Office and pay the income tax by the deadline (usually 31.3.2025). You can find the address of the Tax Office here).

  3. If you assigned 3 % of your income tax, don’t forget to include proof of your volunteer work showing a minimum of 40 hours with your tax declaration!

  4. The Tax Office has 90 days to transfer the sum to your chosen recipients.

 

Notes:

  • You don’t need to know or apply the account information of your recipients at any point of the process, as it is the Tax office that transfers the funds to the recipients. You are responsible for paying the entire amount to the Tax office.

  • If you assign 3% from income tax, it is necessary to include a proof of volunteer work of a minimum of 40 hours for 2024 with your income tax declaration. If you are assigning 2% of income tax, then you only need to submit the tax declaration.

  • IČO (business ID) is aligned to the right, and since it consists of fewer than 12 numbers, the unfilled columns remain empty. If the organisation doesn’t assign SID, then leave the columns for SID empty.
